W Goa, the epitome of oceanfront luxury, is thrilled to announce an exclusive collaboration with the Ministry of Crab, Mumbai, for an unforgettable pop-up at the award-winning gin bar, Sylvia. From 16th December 2023 to 31st December 2023, guests can indulge in the culinary brilliance of Celebrity Chef Dharshan Munidasa, founder of Ministry of Crab, and Culinary Head, Chef Jerry Thomas from Ministry of Crab, Mumbai.

For the first time in Goa, Ministry of Crab, Mumbai, renowned for its exquisite seafood experience, will showcase its signature dishes at the pop-up. Situated in the picturesque heritage site of Khar, Ministry of Crab is acclaimed for its meticulous pairing of Indian mud crabs with authentic Sri Lankan ingredients, prepared with Japanese culinary finesse.

The pop-up at W Goa promises a gastronomic odyssey with a specially curated four-course set menu, available for dinner daily and for lunch & dinner on weekends, featuring both non-vegetarian and vegetarian options.

Non-Vegetarian Menu Highlights:

  • Avocado Crab Salad: A tantalizing combination of steamed and chilled white crab meat, wasabi mayonnaise, served in avocado.
  • Garlic Chilli Prawns: Sri Lankan wood-fired bread paired with large lake prawns cooked in olive oil, Japanese soy sauce, garlic, and chili flakes.
  • Pepper Crab: Ministry of Crab’s signature dish featuring fresh crab cooked in a black pepper stock and hand-crushed peppercorns.
  • Coconut Crème Brûlée: A tropical twist on the classic French dessert, made with rich coconut milk and baked in fresh coconut.

Vegetarian Menu Highlights:

  • Avocado Tomato Salad: Freshly smashed avocado with soy-poached cherry tomatoes.
  • Moc(k) Baked Crab: A savory delight substituting crab with button mushrooms in a rich béchamel sauce.
  • Goan Curry: A flavorful combination of baby eggplant, button mushrooms, onion rings, and coconut vinegar.
  • Coconut Crème Brûlée: A tropical finale to the vegetarian dining experience.

Tanveer Kwatra, General Manager, W Goa, expressed his excitement about the pop-up, anticipating a culinary success with Chef Dharshan’s renowned dishes. Chef Dharshan Munidasa also shared his enthusiasm, highlighting the similarities between Goa and Colombo’s seafood culture and expressing his anticipation of sharing the best of Indian Mud Crab and Sri Lankan spices with Goan diners.

The set menu is priced at INR 6500 plus taxes per person for non-vegetarians and INR 4500 plus taxes per person for vegetarians, available for dinner from 16th to 31st December 2023, and for lunch on weekends during the same period.
